QEP Student Learning Outcomes

The goal of the QEP is to develop crtical readers through the use metacognitive strategies

• SLO 1:  Students will demonstrate critical reading of academic texts and materials
• SLO 2:  Students will report awareness of metacognitive reading strategies
• SLO 3:  Students will express confidence in their abilities as critical readers

Performance Targets

• SLO 1 Measurement 1:  At least 85% of students will score competent or accomplished on a critical reading task for courses in General Education.
• SLO 1 Measurement 2:  At least 85% of students will score competent or accomplished on critical reading comptencies in ENG 102.
• SLO 1 Measurement 3:  At least 85% of students will score competent or accomplished on the critical reading task for the course.
• SLO 2:  At least 85% of students will report awareness of metacognitive reading strategies.
• SLO 3:  Students will express confidence in their abilities as critical readers.
