TILT Critical Reading with a Grade Contract
This session will provide strategies for making critical reading a clear, transparent component of a course by making it part of a contract-based approach to grading.
By the end of this session, faculty who attend will:
- Understand the benefits of a grade contract for increasing clarity of course expectations
- Apply the principles of contract grading to a critical reading assignment
- Create draft language for a grade contract that clarifies and values critical reading expectations
